Overview	Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC), established in 1971, offers a full continuum of evidence based behavioral health and addiction services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors throughout New Jersey. UBHC’s 1,060 experienced behavioral health professionals and support staff are dedicated to treatment, prevention, and education. UBHC, one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in the country, has a budget of $260 million and has 15 sites throughout New Jersey. Services are readily accessible and include: inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, screening, crisis stabilization, family/caregiver support, community outreach and case management, supportive housing, supported employment, prevention and consultation, employee assistance programs, and a licensed therapeutic school from preschool through high school. Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police, veterans, active military, teachers, mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers. In FY2016, UBHC treated 16,199 consumers, had 24,502 admissions, and touched the lives of 19,441 individual callers through peer support. In addition, UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year.
Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator in the Early Intervention and Support Services (EISS) Department within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. In collaboration with Program Manager, will function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) program. Primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff and oversight of EISS treatment services for adults. Will ensure compliance with all regulations. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supervises staff in the EISS program. Performs duties relevant to a leadership position, managing daily operations of that unit, supporting goals and objectives of the University Behavioral Health Care. Assumes direct care responsibilities for consumer/patients and provides individual, group, family supportive counseling, crisis intervention, psycho-education, and case management services as clinically indicated. In collaboration with Supervising Advanced Practice Nurse, schedules staff for on-call responsibilities and reviews all documentation associated with the on-call and initial evaluation process. Maintains appropriate consumer/patient records as mandated by University Behavioral Health Care policy. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all consumers, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment. Demonstrates effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Master’s Degree in a related mental health field and four (4) years of postgraduate experience in related community mental health and/or case management work.
Certifications/Licenses	Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work. Licensed in New Jersey to provide mental health services as an independent practitioner (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychology license). Valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications	One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment	PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to walk throughout the day, stand for extended periods of time, and focus on assigned tasks in a hectic noisy environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Varied work settings include office and community setting. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Immunization Requirements
