Overview

The Senior Manager, Registrar will provide leadership, direction, delivery and governance for the registrar services vertical of Shared Operations Center of Excellence. This individual will creates and promote an environment of consistency and accuracy in the application of academic policies and procedures. He/She will provide oversight for all registrar services, Shared Operations Center of Excellence; ensures compliance with institutional policies, State and Federal regulations. This Senior Manger works collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to drive performance within SOCOE to deliver the agreed upon to impact the student experience and support growth. This individual reports to the Vice President Shared Operations Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and governance of Registrar Operations for Shared Operations Center of Excellence, institutions served

  • Promotes and maintains the integrity of academic policy and procedures and ensures adherence

  • Conducts review, training sessions to ensure consistent application of policy and procedures and provides feedback on how to improve business practices.

  • Oversees registrar transactions are carried out in a timely fashion; and confirms that academic records are accurate and data quality is maintained within the student information systems.

  • Act as Subject Matter Experts (SME) of Registrar Operations to contribute to the development of training and job aids for Academic Operations.

  • Participate in the development of processes, controls, reports, evaluation and in the reviews of academic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

  • Serve as the Registrar when a vacancy occurs at a location.

  • Reviews and approves the plans, development, and implementation strategies in order to meet short-term and long-term objectives.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years management experience, shared services environment preferred.

  • Areas of expertise should include all Registrar functions and responsibilities, Academic policy, procedures and programs, and related Student Finance and Student Services knowledge.

  • Experience working with leadership and participating in accreditation visits and internal and external audits.

  • Ability to drive projects and results involving several business units. Ability to develop and motivate teams to meet or exceed goals.

  • Knowledge of FERPA and AACRAO guidelines.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to set priorities and deadlines to ensure projects are completed.
