Description

The Willson Lab at the University of Arkansas (https://www.willsonlab.com/ ) is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to work on a large field study that seeks to understand wildlife use of solar arrays under varying management regimes, especially those managed for native vegetation. The project will use repeated sampling with a variety of automated and manual survey methods to sample birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and pollinators across sites in Arkansas and surrounding regions and use Bayesian community occupancy models to determine how site, landscape, and management variables influence wildlife use of solar arrays. The post-doc will assist the PIs in project design and management, coordinate fieldwork, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, lead data analysis using multispecies community occupancy models, and lead aspects of report and manuscript preparation. The post-doc will also contribute to associated ecological outreach and education activities and preparation of outreach materials. More broadly, the post-doc is expected to contribute to a variety of herpetological projects in the Willson Lab.
