WHO is Sound Generations?

We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.

We are currently seeking an Intake Coordinator to join our Assistance Services team in Seattle, Washington.

The Intake Coordinator will collect client information and screen for eligibility for the Geriatric Regional Assessment Team (GRAT). GRAT serves adults 55 years and older in King County who are isolated and escalating toward crisis due to behavioral health or cognitive issues. GRAT social workers provide in-person outreach, assessment, and short-term intervention with the goal of stabilizing clients in their homes. The Intake Coordinator will also provide administrative support to Assistance Services programs through resource information management, data collection, and administrative tasks. Someone who is exceptionally organized and enjoys working with a wide variety of people will thrive in this role!

Our teams work with language services and community-based organizations to connect clients with culturally responsive services. We are seeking candidates who have a high level of cultural intelligence and humility, who draw from relevant experience outside of professional roles, and demonstrate a commitment to social justice.

Pay Rate: $27.06 per hour.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process Geriatric Regional Assessment Team (GRAT) referrals. Collect client information and screen for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Perform risk assessments and address emergent needs that arise during information collection.
  • Perform administrative support for programs to achieve efficient use of information, equipment, and resources.
  • Provide customer service and general office support including reception, calendaring, data entry, copying, scanning, faxing, filing, etc.
  • Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, and online applications to collect and update data. Create and distribute reports.
  • Compose and distribute appropriate forms, materials, and publications when needed; coordinate and manage bulk mailings, route incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain confidentiality and information security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work/human services or related field OR Four (4) years’ experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Two (2) years of related experience
