Student Leadership Facilitator
Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders is a growing, impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging, equipping, and empowering young leaders for Hawaii. Through signature high school programs as well as Vanguard, CTL’s alumni initiative, CTL is creating an atmosphere for leaders to be discovered and launched. New team members will join a dynamic and fun environment - committed to young leaders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, facilitator will be:
· Teaching leadership lessons in a variety of schools’ classrooms
· Learning and practicing the CTL leadership curriculum, and the field of leadership
· Liaising with advising teacher, administration and CTL
· Coaching students in character, communication and student-led projects
· Assisting with office administration, major events and other duties as assigned
Hours are regular full-time, but nights and weekends may be required occasionally. The position requires a current driver’s license and use of a personal car to drive to classes at various high schools. Neighbor island travel might also be required. Applicants must also be able to stand and teach a full class period, typically 60 minutes. The position is required to report to the Entrepreneurs Sandbox, CTL’s current office location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong interpersonal skills to inspire diverse students, especially coming from disadvantaged backgrounds
· Ability to speak clearly, succinctly, and persuasively
· Teachability and willingness to grow
· Bachelor’s degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School teaching experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
