We are seeking a creative, highly motivated expert in molecular biology/biochemistry/enzymology to join our group. The successful candidate will conduct independent research in enzyme engineering towards the development of industrially viable biocatalysts.CRD, as part of Worldwide R&D in Pharmaceutical Sciences, is responsible for the development of synthetic processes and technology for the production of Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct independent research in enzyme engineering.
• Analyze and review work published in the field of protein engineering and apply it to project related work.
• Collaborates and prepares internal research reports and technical presentations as well as manuscripts for external publications.
• Maintains an up-to-date electronic research notebook with all required supporting information.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering (or related discipline).
• Previous first-author publication(s) in internationally recognized journals during PhD.
• Experience in Enzymology.
• Expereince in Data Analysis.
• Expereince in Protein Engineering.
• Track record of scientific accomplishments demonstrated through journal publications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive laboratory experience towards producing protein for activity assays and preparative scale applications .
• Experience with metalloenzymes.
• Expertise in data science and the analysis of biological datasets.
