Job Description: | The Department of Pediatrics has an annual budget of approximately $110,000,000.00. The Department's diverse academic missions include research, patient care, clinical service contracts, and the medical education of residents, fellows, medical students and healthcare professionals in the clinical arena and graduate assistants and postdoctoral associates in the research arena. Manage all clinical ambulatory operations: This position serves as a single point of contact in the Department for the management of all Pediatric Ambulatory clinics. Manages all clinical ambulatory operations and improvement projects as assigned by the Chairman and Director for Administration related to operational efficiency, patient safety and satisfaction, and revenue enhancement in departmental outpatient clinic locations. Manage clinical staff, budget variance reports and HR processes: Produces the weekly access report. For UFP responsibilities, the incumbent reports to CEO and Senior Associate Dean for UFP. •Supports UFP, departmental and College of Medicine efforts to advance clinical quality |
Expected Salary: | $85,500-$110,000 annually |
Minimum Requirements: | Masters degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or health care administration (MHA) is preferred. Four years of progressively responsible business or health care related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of university and Shands fiscal policies and procedures, and general financial accounting knowledge. Supervisory experience is necessary. Candidate must be able to effectively lead and train employees while creating an environment conducive to good morale. Ideal candidate will be a flexible, critical thinker with the ability to collaborate with different teams of individuals while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. |
