Program Supervisor- College Support Aide
Job Description
We are hiring a Program Supervisor to support our Collegepath Program! (Location- College of San Mateo)
The Supervisor provides mentorship, supervision, training, and curriculum development. The Supervisor is also responsible for the service coordination of participants in the program through Person Centered Planning practices.
CollegePath is an AbilityPath program available at both College of San Mateo and Skyline College. We provide individualized support for students with developmental disabilities who are looking to continue their education beyond high school. Designed to maximize choice and flexibility, CollegePath instructors provide resources and tailored support for students at all ages and stages who are navigating the college experience. Study skills, vocational skills, and social skills are developed through integrated college classes and support from out instructors on navigating the ever-changing collegiate social environment. CollegePath is ideal for individuals who are ready to engage in college life!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Collaborates with Sr. Program Manager to align the program with organization strategic direction, Employment First principles, and current vocational and human services best practices.
- Support students to navigate college experieince
- Connect students with proper campus resources as needed
- Support students full experience, support in registering for classes, navigating campus, time management skills
- Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate performance of instructors and interns
- Responsible for Person Centered Planning and case management activities of assigned caseload including: coordination of input for assessments with the individual’s circle of support, goal setting and tracking process, incident reporting and follow-up, and other requirements; acts as the key liaison with the Regional Center.
- Administer accurate documentation of program activities, attendance, billing, expenses etc.
- Stays up to date with technology utilized in program and throughout the organization; able to provide support to instructors as needed.
- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction to participants to help them achieve their goals; instruction may be community based, on-site or provided virtually.
- Utilize appropriate modification techniques to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans to increase engagement
- Acts as liaison between the consumer, Regional Center, Department of Rehabilitation, and Disability Resource Center (DRC) which is located at College of San Mateo and all other involved parties
- Ensures a safe continuous working environment according to general safety practices
- Drive agency vehicles as needed
- Transport participants to activities and events; provide route service as needed
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

- Education Degree in applicable field
- Specialized certificate
- Applicable work or volunteer experience
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid California Driver’s License/ID
- Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
- Proof of negative TB test results
- Verification of occupational physical clearance
- Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance
- 18 years of age or job permit clearance
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
- Ability to physically respond to adults with developmental disabilities
- Ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time and support adults with developmental disabilities on community outings
- Ability to drive company vehicles to transport participants
- Ability to sit and keyboard as needed
