The Music Center Evening Continuity Assistant supports all evening activities in the Albert P. Smith Music Center. This
will include monitoring the use of practice rooms, midi lab, and recording studio as well as staffing the box office for
concerts and recitals.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain the integrity of the practice rooms, midi lab, and recording studio.
Assist authorized recording technology studio lab monitors and midi lab monitors.
Assist the ensemble directors with such duties as music library sorting and folder stuffing.
Assist with music department social media postings and online ticketing.
Serve as the spokesperson for the music department after hours by answering the telephone and assisting
students and community members that may have questions about the music department
Serve as the primary greeter for all evening concerts and recitals in the Albert P. Smith Music Center. Direct
traffic flow from the main foyer to the 2nd floor recital hall.
Marginal (Non-Essential) Job Functions
Support the overall integrity of the Music Center by monitoring activity in the facility.
Associate degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of one (1) year in sales, marketing, recruitment, or admissions experience required.
Organizational and problem solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral and written) are required to be successful in this
Must have experience and be comfortable with public speaking
Must be able to lift and move 20 pounds of music
Must have reliable transportation
Primarily office environment.
