Required Qualifications: PhD in the life sciences; experience in a biomedical research lab

Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with molecular biology (sub-cloning); experience with viral packaging (AAV preferred); 2+ years of postdoctoral experience in a biomedical research lab

75% Work with the Viral Vector and Cloning Core/VVCC Manager to design sub-cloning strategies for custom cloning projects; execution of cloning projects and associated trouble-shooting; oversight of cloning efforts of VVCC staff.

20% Contribute assistance to the viral packaging efforts of the VVCC, including viral production, purification, and quantification

5%Shared contribution to the overall management of VVCC operations, including ordering reagents, care of instrumentation, invoicing/billing, client interactions, and maintaining a safe lab environment.
