Core Program Coordinator, Foster Family Support

Fostering Hope Foundation

Job Description

Are you drawn to help in foster care, even if unconventionally?

Are you gifted in the art of facilitating relationships?

Do you believe that unconditional love can make magic happen?

Fostering Hope is a unique nonprofit that provides teams of volunteer “aunts and uncles” to provide practical and emotional support to foster families. Our goal is to create the kind loving, stable environment and relationships that kids with trauma need to heal, and our outcomes in the last 15 years show that it truly works. Youth in foster care supported by our program are doing far better in school, employment and life when compared to those without.

As a program coordinator, you will recruit, train, and support these teams with ongoing facilitation as they work with foster families. In doing this work, you create a space where loving service can happen and youth can flourish. You’ll be joining a family-like work culture with lots of flexibility. Our teams, which are recruited from faith communities, do everything from providing rides to soccer practice to sitting with a foster mom on a really rough day, just as a best friend or loving aunt might do. You, as the coordinator, help these bonds to form and grow.
