Community House Mental Health Agency is seeking a Housing Support Specialist.

 


Location:
 Main location will be at our main office in the Central District with some travel to other locations

 


Days and Hours: This position is for Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:00 pm

 


Full medical, dental, disability, 25 plus days off per year to start.

Pay Rate:
 $22.20+ DOE plus quarterly performance/outcome bonuses

 


Reports to:
 SSH Supervisor

Position description:

 


Work in a team approach to provide wrap around support services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, assisting them to successfully live independently and integrate into the greater community.

 


Work in people’s homes to assist them in developing the skills needed to be successful in living independently and in the community. Provide one-on-one and group services as well as crisis intervention, assistance with appointments, outings, etc...

 


Work collaboratively with the SSH team and a larger clinical team of case managers, psychiatric providers, day treatment staff, etc. to assure that each client is actively working towards treatment goals.

 


Must be a self-starter, able to work autonomously when needed, a good team player, and passionate about working with this population.

 


Minimum Qualifications: 
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 6 months of professional clinical experience working with people who have severe and persistent mental illness.

 


Experience Required:
 Experience working with people who have mental illness or related social service experience and/or ability to acquire specialized training to work with target population.

 


Skills Required:
 Ability to work independently and within a team. Drivers license required

We strive to provide a comprehensive and valuable package of benefits to our employees. Full-time employment is defined as regularly scheduled 30 hours per week employment. Employees below 30 hours per week have benefits pro-rated to 50% down to 20 hours per week. Below 20 hours per week are not eligible for medical, dental benefits but can accrue vacation time per City of Seattle regulations.
