Position Summary:


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director for the Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS) within the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Oversees all aspects of hiring, managing, supervising, and training staff/instructors for the student-facing operation of the ODASIS Program.
  • Accountable for creating and adhering to budget and operational plans for ODASIS projects including, but not limited to, the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund, grants, and university allocations.
  • Oversees the daily operation of ODASIS, both in the Busch and Livingston Offices.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates established programs designed to enhance the academic success of students from populations underrepresented in the sciences.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree, preferably in Education with concurrent involvement in professional development training.
  • 5 years of professional experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff in a university setting, the safeguarding of conflictual data, and design and implementation of science programs complementing undergraduate level science curricula.
