Program Coordinator/Instructor – Technical Marketing

Mountwest Community & Technical College is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator/Instructor of Technical Marketing beginning with the Fall 2023 academic term. This is a full-time, grant funded, 10-month benefits-eligible term faculty position. The position is expected to last the duration of the grant.

Salary:$45,000 – $50,000 – Commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. A Master’s degree is preferred with 3-5 years of experience in Technical Marketing, or related field, with professional experience in social media marketing, telecommunications, story-telling through marketing, and more. Teaching experience is preferred. Strong communication, both oral and written, as well as digital literacy is required. A strong commitment to continued knowledge of relevant technology is required. The ability to develop curriculum for credit and non-credit required, including micro credentials. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a selectionof the following technical skills are preferred; creation and editing skills in Adobe products, graphic and web design skills, CMS experience such as WordPress, content creation and distribution for social media, websites, podcasts, etc., Search Engine Optimization (SEO), data analysis, and web analytics and video creation, editing, and marketing. Candidates selected for interview will be required to perform a teaching demonstration and/or provide other example of technical marketing work.

Duties and Responsibilities: Report to the Academic Dean & Chair of the Division, and collaborate with the Executive Director of Workforce development. Duties include the development and oversight of the Technical Marketing program (credit and non-credit) with innovative program scheduling to meet the needs of industry. Must also maintain office hours, committee work, program recruitment and other assignments supporting division goals. Maintain records relevant to the program. Meet with community stakeholders regarding the needs and development of the program, including conducting advisory committee meetings. Coordinate and schedule lab recording space for business and industry use, maintain inventory of equipment and coordinate service learning projects. As needed, create reports relevant to the development of the program. The successful candidate will teach a load of courses in addition to the development of the program. Must be willing to teach online, flex, hybrid, or any other type of course modality. The Program Coordinator will evaluate and assist in the hiring adjuncts of the program, in collaboration with HR. Other duties as assigned.
