Job Summary

The Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky is inviting applications for a fully-funded postdoctoral position in the area of extractive metallurgy. The successful applicant will assist in overseeing the daily activities of research projects in the areas of critical materials recovery, mineral processing, coal benefication and secondary material recycling. The work environment will include working in university laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art processing and analytical equipment as well as pilot plants and industrial processing facilities.

Responsibilities will include assisting in the development of proposals, developing and performing experimental programs, analyzing data and reporting findings in periodic performance reports and in peer-reviewed journal articles. The training and education of graduate and undergraduate students will also be part of the appointment. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists and engineers.
