The Department of Management at the Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking to fill a Non-TENURE TRACK position for the 2019-2020 school year at the lecturer/senior lecturer level. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in Sport & Entertainment Management, and potentially other business disciplines, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Individuals are expected to support the program in building the Mike Ilitich School of Business Sport & Entertainment Management Brand via fundraising, community engagement, student recruitment, directing student projects, program development, and student internship and job placement.
Teach courses in Sport & Entertainment Management and one other program in the Mike Ilitch School of Business at undergraduate and graduate levels
Support the program director in building the Ilitch School of Business Sport & Entertainment Management brand including fundraising, community engagement, student recruitment, directing student projects, and cultivating internship placement opportunities
Participate in department/school governance activities
Perform related duties as assigned
Master's degree required for Lecturer, and Ph.D. is required for Senior Lecturer
Previous experience teaching a variety of Sport and Entertainment Management/Marketing Courses
Proven record of leadership in academic program development within sport and entertainment management
Research, mentoring, and service expertise in sport and entertainment management
Experience collaborating with organizations in program design, delivery, and evaluation in the sport and entertainment industry.
Preferential consideration may be given to candidates with practical sport and/or entertainment industry work experience and prior collegiate teaching experience
