Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator (Confidential) for the Department of Clinical and Health Affairs within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences.
The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator is to assist the Program Director in the operationalization of well-being initiatives at RBHS. This position will act as a coordinator and facilitator of wellness programming and communication related to well-being. They will support research initiatives and grant management. Answers questions regarding policies and procedures, and ensures the highest standard of customer service to faculty and staff.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Supports the Program Director in the facilitation of advancing well-being at RBHS. Provides administrative oversight for wellness programming designed to improve health and well-being to serve the RBHS community.
  • Implements communication strategy to share current programs, highlight successes, and identify opportunities transparently.
  • Assists with regular surveys for our community to assess mental health status, needs, and the success of our programs. Collects data about utilization of mental health and wellness services. Prepares and/or compiles data for special reports and analysis.
  • Maintains the Promotion of Well-being website to ensure excellent communication of programmatic offerings.
  • Collaborates on the development of research questions and publications that contribute to the field of well-being.
  • Provides administrative support for grant management as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders regarding well-being initiatives.
  • Generates, produces, and distributes Rutgers’ correspondence related to well-being programs and initiatives. Assists with these programs and initiatives as assigned.
  • Develops departmental policies and procedures, flow-charts and project timelines as necessary. Ensures follow through with all parties and tracks projects to completion.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferred focus in Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in a business office, academic environment or clinical environment.
  • Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.

  • Must possess the ability to work with senior administrators, state, business and community leaders on critical matters with diplomacy, executive maturity and sensitive human relations skills.
  • Must be dependable, flexible, and people oriented.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a highly professional demeanor in person and on the telephone.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to navigate the Internet.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.
