Job Description

The Division of Marketing, MIS, and Entrepreneurship in the Brad D. Smith Schools of Business under the Lewis College of Business at Marshall University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Marketing for a nine-month tenure track appointment to teach primarily marketing strategy and sales in the undergraduate and graduate level beginning Fall 2019. Teaching and research interests of the ideal candidate could also encompass additional areas of the marketing discipline. Candidate could play a critical role in a proposed sales center.
The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate or an ABD status in marketing, or a closely related field, with a strong interest in engaged teaching, experiential learning and applied research. The Division seeks candidates who will contribute to the general education curriculum of the University with its emphasis on a common First Year seminar and core curriculum courses that enhance students’ critical thinking. The successful candidate will ideally have experience with online teaching and curriculum development.

Required Qualifications

Candidate must have Ph.D., D.B.A. or other terminal qualification acceptable under AACSB International guidelines. A.B.D. from AACSB accredited institutions with demonstrated progress toward completion (proposal defended) will be considered.

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
