The School of Mathematics and Social Sciences at Black Hills State University invites applicants for an Instructor of Mathematics starting Fall Semester, August 2019. This position is not tenure-track, but annual renewal is expected.
DUTIES: Teach 5 courses per semester in mathematics, including intermediate algebra, college algebra, mathematical reasoning, and/or introduction to statistics, and advise students as necessary.
The minimum qualification is a master's degree in mathematics. Alternatively a candidate may possess a master's degree in a related field, including or in addition to eighteen graduate hours in mathematics or statistics. Desirable qualifications include experience and interest in teaching lower division undergraduate mathematics at the post-secondary level and in employing innovative instructional strategies involving active student participation.
