Manager, Training and Organizational Development

Job Description

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide management of training and organizational development initiatives for the college and staff.     Plan, develop, coordinate, administer, conduct, and review all day-to-day operational activities in the Human Resources training and organizational development unit. Effectively identify and address training and organizational development needs, create developmental paths and relevant courses, train employees, and document successes as well as areas for improvement.  Manage and perform administrative work in support of the training and organizational development functions.  Supervise subordinate employees.   Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing with violation points less than five (5). 

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree in Human Resources, organizational development or related field from an accredited institution with five (5) years of experience in training, organizational development, human resources management and/or education. Recent experience must include three (3) years training adults in a professional setting, preferably higher education, including planning, developing, and presenting curriculum.
 
Certified Professional in Talent Development from the Association for Talent Development Preferred. Current Human Resources Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management or HRCI preferred.
