Summary of Position

The Administrative Coordinator is a vital member of the SAS Team. Under general supervision of the SAS director, the administrative coordinator maintains and supports the effective daily operation of the office. This includes office purchasing and coordination, support for managing student accommodations, data reporting, website management, management of Accommodate (the SAS accommodation management system), and supervising reception staff and student hourly workers.

  • High school diploma or equivalent and six years of related experience, or Associate degree and four years of experience, or combination of higher education and experience totaling six years.
  • Experience in scheduling, office management, or related responsibility/role.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and general public.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in on-going learning experiences to enhance skill, understanding of the position, effective implementation of exam accommodations, and testing specific software.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and aptitude for learning and exploring new software.
  • Willingness to collaborate with the SAS team as well as others within the UNH community.

Duty/Responsibility

Analyze and resolve administrative problems. This includes collaborating with colleagues on assigned communications and communication strategy, distributing content and supporting marketing efforts, maintaining confidentiality in communicating sensitive information and in handling confidential materials, managing office purchasing, leading data reporting projects, and supporting the upkeep of the SAS space.

Duty/Responsibility

Help coordinate and maintain digital operations of SAS. This includes coordinating and maintaining the SAS website, maintaining Accommodate (the SAS accommodation management software), creating and maintaining reports using databases and other applications, and organizing and maintaining the SAS team SharePoint.

Duty/Responsibility

Assist the SAS team in the effective coordination and management of both permanent and temporary student accommodations. This includes administrative support throughout the accommodation process (registration, documentation, in-take meetings, accommodation letters, follow-up with campus partners), assisting in creating and sending reports about specific accommodations, assisting in coordinating accommodations such as notetakers and notetaker software, serving as a liaison and resource for faculty, staff, students and general public related to reviewing accommodations processes and SAS policies and procedures.

Duty/Responsibility

Supervise reception desk staff and SAS student hourly. This includes conducting outreach and advertising for current student hourly openings, interviewing prospective employees, training new student hourly, approving student employees’ hours, completing all hiring paperwork and processing new hire paperwork and payroll for contracted student hourly and notetakers, scheduling coverage for reception and personally covering reception 4-8hrs/wk (or as needed to ensure coverage).
