Position Highlights The Zhang lab, an internationally recognized leading group in the field of the NRF2-KEAP1-ARE signaling pathway is welcoming applicants at all levels (postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and technicians). The main focus of the Zhang group is to characterize the molecular bases of diseases assocaited with arsenic exposure, and to identify ways in which NRF2, as well as the other NRF protein family members (NRF1 and NRF3), can be effectively harnessed to prevent or treat lung cancer and type II diabetes. Applicants should be highly motivated and exhibit an enthusiasm and passion for science, including the ability to think independently and progress mulitple projects, maintain a good track record of publications, and display a level of expertise and proficiency in basic cellular and molecular biology techniques. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct and support laboratory research by setting up and conducting a variety of lab experiments.  Records results, analyzes data, and interprets test results.  Provides research administrative support including coordinating schedules.
  • Order and manage laboratory supplies.
  • Operates many types of laboratory equipment. Trains other employees and students in lab techniques and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree. * Master's degree.
