Culinary instructor for Summer Academy classes. Instructors will be responsible for creating class curriculum in an interesting and engaging manner utilizing best practices in teaching culinary arts to 2nd-9th grade students. In addition, instructors will be responsible for keeping the students safe and engaged. Instructors are required to have a strong knowledge base of the material being presented and skilled at managing a classroom.
• Develop course syllabus and supply request in a timely manner based on program due dates.
• Utilize current and relevant curriculum resources and materials to develop an engaging curriculum that meets the culinary class desired outcomes.
• Attend mandatory training/ and complete all required paperwork and HR requirements.
• Be prepared to have sub replacement if an personal emergency arises.
Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts or related degree with a minimum of 6,000 hours supervisory experience in the industry. Servsafe™ certified instructor and proctor.
Previous culinary teaching experience preferred.
