This position is a member of the CEW+ Evaluation and Assessment Team and reports to the Program Evaluation Specialist.   This position is a part-time, 24 hours per week, term limited position through June 30, 2024, that is benefits eligible. This position may be extended with satisfactory performance and available funding.   All CEW+ staff members are eligible to work from home for a portion of their schedule. The CEW+ is fully remote on Mondays and all staff are on-site on Tuesdays.   After successfully completing 3 months of training, an assessment will be completed to determine eligibility for working from home more than 1 day per week.

Responsibilities*

Data Management, Analysis & Visualization

  • Create data visualizations of quantitative data (tables, charts, infographics, graphs, etc.)
  • Code and analyze qualitative data related to programming and events 
  • Suggest continuous improvements to enhance currently used surveys and assessments
  • Consolidate and create a structure for cataloguing and archiving survey instruments & qualitative data protocols, final reports, deidentified data and survey codebooks

Writing & Distribution

  • Draft initial data reports for review
  • Develop ongoing, short written pieces for use on website, social media, and reports
  • Suggest highlights of evaluation and assessment findings for distribution
  • Proofread reports in their final stage and suggest edits
  • Create slide decks that can be used for multiple purposes
  • Present findings to campus partners and external stakeholders

Other duties as assigned 

  • Train and support undergraduate research assistants
  • Facilitate meetings in the absence of supervisor

Required Qualifications*

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience working on a research project 
Demonstrated experience and/or coursework with data analysis software (examples: R, SPSS, Stata, Dedoose, Nvivo)
Demonstrated experience:

  • Creating data visualizations (Tableau or similar application).  Selected interview candidates  will be asked to provide a data visualization that you created with a 1 paragraph summary of the data visualization.
  • Building surveys using Qualtrics or Google forms
  • Extracting and running reports from large datasets
