Summary

The Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research Center (CHEAR) at the University of Michigan invites
applications for a full-time faculty position. Placement will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on the
Instructional (Tenure), Clinical, or Research Track depending on scholarly focus.

The CHEAR Center is one of the largest health services research centers in the US that focuses on children. Eighteen
faculty investigators and more than 40 research staff, fellows, and students conduct investigations and training across
several core themes that include data science, emerging technologies, health outcomes research, health care policy,
and communications. Our work is multidisciplinary, encompassing health services research, epidemiology, health
policy, general pediatrics, and pediatric subspecialties. Our mission is to advance the health and well-being of all

CHEAR faculty are actively engaged in research collaborations and patient care in partnership with the University of
Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Here, our teams come together to change children's lives in extraordinary

Required Qualifications*

The successful candidate will be dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of all children, adolescents, and
families through research and education. A terminal research degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
is necessary as well as a record of scholarly achievement and funding capabilities appropriate to the applicant's
professional experience. Exceptional organizational and communication skills for work in an interdisciplinary
department are essential as well as the demonstrated potential for successfully engaging learners and collaborators.
Preference will be given to candidates with research interests relevant to general pediatrics, although all applicants
are encouraged to apply.
