Job Description:

The Assistant Director, Nursing assists in the administration of the department under the direction of the Director and functions on his/her behalf during Director’s absence; assists the Director in developing, promoting, and offering quality classroom instruction, including instructor evaluation, curriculum review and development, student recruitment, and academic advising; assists in course scheduling, ordering books, and requisitioning supplies, equipment, and materials; and maintains the inventory of equipment assigned to the programs. This position coordinates all clinical, didactic, and laboratory course materials; maintains student records and provides the department head with attendance, grade, and progress reports; coordinates orientation of adjunct faculty members; serves as liaison to program advisory committees; and assists in preparation for and follow-up to committee meetings; prepares accreditation, State Board Survey, placement, follow-up, and other related reports as requested. Reports to the Director, Nursing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in nursing; current unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license; two years clinical experience in nursing; teaching experience in practical and/or associate degree nursing program; managerial experience in nursing. Successful results of a criminal background and drug screen are required.

SALARY RANGE:  $44,180.00 - $60,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
