The MPCAC-accredited Master’s Program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at Chestnut Hill College has a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position opening at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2019. This is a 12-month appointment.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Counselor Education and Supervision, must be licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania, must have clinical experience, and must maintain active involvement in clinical practice, consultation, or supervision. We are seeking candidates with strong identification with a contemporary psychodynamic orientation and a systemic perspective, along with relevant training and experience with these models.
Overseeing the field placements of students in the master’s program; advising students; maintaining and developing practicum and internship sites; and teaching two courses each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer), one of which is the group supervision course for students on field placement. Additional course assignments for this position will be selected from the following, depending on candidate’s experience and expertise: trauma; substance use disorders; child and adolescence; diverse and underserved communities.
