The Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks postdoctoral research associates to contribute to computational research on ocean, atmosphere, and land biogeochemistry. The candidate will work directly with Professor Scott Doney in the Department of Environmental Sciences.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The completion of a PhD in oceanography, environmental sciences, or related field is required by appointment start date. Candidates are required to have experience in computational environmental research involving data analysis, remote sensing, or numerical modeling. Background in ocean or aquatic systems is preferred. Ability to use advanced statistical data analysis software, such as MATLAB, R or SciPy; verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as a member of a team; and ability to organize and complete tasks are required skills.
