Laboratory for GPCR Biology
The Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of
Medicine (www.pharmacology.us) invites applicants for a research-track faculty position at the
Research Instructor level. Scientists with research expertise related to single-molecule imaging of
receptor pr proteins are highly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates would expand current
Department programs on mechanisms of signal transduction and pharmacology of GPCRs. Applicants will
be expected to seek and maintain extramural support, participate in the teaching of medical and
graduate students, and mentor both graduate students and Ph.D. or MD postdoctoral fellows.
Successful candidates will join a vibrant, diverse, and collaborative Top 10 department based in a
Top 3 NIH-funded University that provides excellent opportunities for continuous career
development. A Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology or a related discipline (i.e. biochemistry,
structural biology, biophysics, etc.) is required. Additionally, an established track record of
excellence in research productivity is highly desired.
