Summary of Position

The Festival director for the Nossrat Yassini Poetry festival will be in charge of all organizational, marketing, and administrative elements of the festival, scheduled for April 2024. They will oversee prizes and competitions, scheduling, budgets, volunteers, school outreach, community outreach, and advertising. They will undertake grant writing to fund festival programs. The Director will also teach 4 courses in the English Department: at least 2 ENGL401 First Year Writing and at least 1 Creative Writing.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

Several years of festival administrative experience. Strong links to the New England poetry community. Experience with community and school engagement.
