Position Summary | The postdoctoral research associate will support the ongoing research in the Rowe-Conlon lab. The Rowe-Conlon lab develops new antibiotic therapies and research in the lab spans the disciplines of microbiology and immunology. The lab is pursuing novel solutions to combat antibiotic resistant bacterial infections and the applicant will be responsible for performing in vitro antibiotic susceptibility testing against a variety of bacterial pathogens, cell culture assays, performing a range of murine models of bacterial infection. The lab performs research in vitro, tissue culture and in mice. The applicant should be comfortable working with all three areas of research. The applicant will be responsible for performing murine infection models, recording results, and communicating findings. The applicant will should be comfortable leading independent research project as well as collaborating on team projects. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | PhD in biological sciences and/or related field of study |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Previous experience working with bacteria. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Previous experience in mouse handling. |
