Position Summary | The Williams lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to study epidermal and oral development and wound healing, using genetically-engineered mouse models, biochemistry and mass spectroscopy, ex vivo imaging, and cell-culture models. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to learn to write grant applications, read/review manuscripts are essential skills that will be developed with on-the-job training. This position is supported for up to 3 years by NIH and BSF funding. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | PhD in a comparable field, such as, biology, cellular biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, biomedical science, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, clinical laboratory science, or professional equivalent MD, DO, or DVM. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Ability to work independently to design and analyze experiments. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | At least two years of postdoctoral experience. Formal degree training in cellular or developmental biology, genetics, or biochemistry. Prior experience with mouse models and survival surgeries. Familiarity with advanced microscopy (confocal, spinning disk) and image analysis (Imaris, etc.). |
