Post-Doctoral Associate Position

Title: Systems Metabolic Engineering of Non-Model Yeasts for Conversion of Complex Substrates into Biofuels, Biochemicals, and Biomaterials

A postdoctoral researcher position is available in Dr. Trinh's laboratory in The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The candidate will work on a project that aims to investigate robustness and metabolism of non-model yeasts (e.g., Yarrowia lipolytica) and engineer them as efficient and robust biocatalysts for biosynthesis of biofuels, biochemicals, and biomaterials from lignocellulosic biomass and plastics wastes. This project is a collaboration between Trinh lab at The University of Tennessee Knoxville and research scientists at The Oak Ridge National Laboratory and The US Department of Agriculture.
