The Department of Pharmacology at UVA School of Medicine seeks applications for Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the Lab of Dr. Norbert Leitinger.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree, preferably a PhD in the biological or chemical sciences, or an M.D. degree with 3+ years of graduate research experience. The candidate is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for experimental research, teamwork and productivity, and respect for diversity of both people and viewpoints. Experience in at least one of these areas is preferred: lipid mass spectroscopy, immunology, metabolism, animal models, and cell biology.

Anticipated Hiring Rage: $54,000-60,000 annual salary will be commensurate with education, skills, and experience. The intended duration of this postdoc appointment is less than one year and is contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Postdoctoral employment is normally limited to an individual who has been awarded a doctoral degree within the previous five years.

This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.  A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
