  • SUMMARY
    Provide soft skills consulting and executive coaching for corporate clients on an on-call basis, particularly in the areas of supervisory skills, customer service, diversity and other human resource issues. Deliver consulting and executive coaching based on client’s needs and objectives.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
     
    Deliver consulting and executive coaching services to corporate clients as needed.
     
    Provide consulting and executive coaching for corporate clients at customers request on-site or at designated HCC location.
     
    Assess consulting and coaching needs for clients in conjunction with Corporate College staff.
     
    Provide client follow –up on consulting and executive coaching services.
     
    Customize consulting and executive coaching content and format to fit client’s objectives.
     
    Provide consulting and executive coaching to clients in the areas of soft skills, such as leadership, supervisory skills, diversity, human resource issues, etc.
     
    Provide consulting and executive coaching in various formats, using relevant consulting and executive coaching materials such as texts, handouts, class exercises or assessment tools.
     
    Continue to update and revise consulting content and executive coaching methodology in order to maintain currency and relevance.
     
    Maintain familiarity with current texts, materials, consulting and executive coaching aids and techniques relative to consulting and executive coaching within the discipline and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
     
    Actively seek ways to improve instruction.
     
    Attend scheduled meetings with client and Corporate College as requested including Adjunct Faculty Orientation.
     
    Maintain accurate records, including class schedules, student rosters, 3-day attendance and grade rosters. Strict observance of these procedures is required for on-going consideration for other training assignments.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS 
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.  The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
     
    EDUCATION
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Marketing, Communications, Psychology or related field from a regionally accredited institution, indicating academic preparation in related field required.
     
    Three (3) or more licenses and certificates related to specific disciplines preferred.
     
    EXPERIENCE
    Nine (9) or more years of demonstrated, corporate consulting and executive coaching experience required. Industry training, community college or university teaching experience is highly desired.
     
    Seven (7) or more years’ experience working in HCC, conducting corporate consulting and executive coaching preferred.
     
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    Knowledge and experience in the discipline of consulting, executive coaching, management, human resources, curriculum development, etc. with the ability to encourage clients to use critical thinking and problem solving skills.
     
    Must have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication.
     
    Must be comfortable consulting with corporations, providing executive coaching to corporations, as well as delivering training in a corporate environment with the ability to interact professionally with corporate clients.
     
    Must be able to customize consulting, executive coaching, as well as training content and format to fit client’s objectives.
     
    Must be knowledgeable of current trends in corporate consulting and executive coaching.
     
    Must be able to produce professional quality handouts and presentations
    Knowledge of learning theory-motivational, perceptual, and emotional forces present in the learning process and the conditions which affect individual learning and change.
     
    Knowledge of theories of leadership-alternative techniques and styles for guiding, motivation, and directing individuals under various situational conditions to achieve effective performance.
     
    Knowledge of current developments in related fields of specialization with the ability to keep up-to-date on changes in policies and procedures to maintain current working knowledge.
     
    Ability to use current technology
     
    Ability to contribute and present innovative ideas for new curricula and programs that combine traditional schedules with new demands from industry schedules.
     
    Ability to demonstrate consideration of others.
     
    Ability to speak, read and write the English language effectively.
     
    Ability to clearly and effectively present ideas in discussion and oral presentations
     
    Ability to meet deadlines for reports and other required paper work.
     
    Ability to perform all the essential functions of this job.
