Company Overview

RICBT is a psychotherapy and coaching practice in Rhode Island specializing in evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral approaches. We are passionate about helping people overcome a wide range of mental health problems and helping them thrive as a student, spouse, parent, or professional. We have almost forty psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists practicing in three locations (East Providence, Barrington, and North Kingstown) and serving a wide geographic area. We focus on two primary aims at RICBT. First, we strive to amaze and delight our patients with how rewarding it can be to work with us here. Second, we strive to protect our work culture - keeping it relaxed, close-knit, educational, and conducive to professional growth.

Job Summary

As an outpatient child psychologist at RICBT, you give patients incredible support and teach them proven strategies to reduce emotional distress. You help them thrive at home, in school, and with their friends and family. You focus on providing individual, family, and group treatment and on building transformative therapeutic alliances. You are there for children and their families when they are most symptomatic and you support them through many different phases of development - much like a pediatrician does.

RICBT surrounds you with incredible colleagues who practice from an academic perspective - incorporating the best of the scientific literature when determining how to help patients. Your colleagues speak in a clear and empathic way about mental health issues and try to go the extra mile for patients. Our culture is both down-to-earth and inspirational; you will want to keep learning and improving as a clinician when you hear your teammates sharing their creative, thoughtful, and informed work with patients.

You can add your expertise to our mix and contribute to the programs we offer to help children, teens, and adults with many different behavioral health conditions. Maybe you are skilled in CBT for phobias or experienced in teaching DBT to teens. Maybe you are fascinated by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or can teach parents how to better manage and relate to their children. If you are passionate about developing as a clinician and learning more as you progress in the field, you will like being part of our team.
