| Position Summary | The UNC Microbiome Core is searching for a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successfully selected candidate will contribute to understand how probiotics and prebiotics impact the gut microbiome. Additionally, he/she will learn how to process samples for metagenomics sequencing and will learn the basics of bioinformatics analysis. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | A Ph. D. in Molecular Microbiology, Microbial Ecology, or Microbial Genetics, as well as additional coursework in bioinformatics, evolutionary genomics, and biological engineering are required. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Ability to work independently and in a team setting. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Previous experience in basic research will also be considered. |
