Position Information
Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of five health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students, 100 PhD students, and 20 Master’s students. Position Summary | UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is recruiting for a PACE fellow for our Asheville Campus to support practice advancement research. Areas of focus include team-based care for underserved patients with hypertension and pharmacist-initiated hormonal contraception. Additional opportunities for teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum and participating in service and advocacy events exist. The fellow will participate in enrichment activities with other PACE fellows in the Division, attend state and national conferences, and complete a pharmacy residency curriculum that focuses on starting new ambulatory care pharmacy services. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Doctor of Pharmacy degree and NC pharmacy licensure required |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | PharmD degree, research experience |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred |
