Chemeketa Community College welcomes applications for a full-time Technology Analyst Position Summary This position primarily involves working hands on with multiple projects, working with in a wide range of Information Technology (IT) disciplines to ensure the college's information systems, such as data collection and software applications, work together as a cooperative unit. This position will work closely with our project managers, strategists, and embedded analysts to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Requirements The successful candidate will have: Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (Must supply unofficial transcripts to receive consideration based on education)

Two years of programming or report creation experience -OR- Four years of programming or report creation experience Core Competencies:
A variety of programming environments such as: Relational Database, SQL, Java or other internet programming tool
Strong understanding of data reporting principles.
Solid understanding of internet server technologies including service oriented architecture
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
Demonstrated understanding of programming best-practices related to internet security
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
Experience with Oracle development tools such as: TOAD, Apex, SQL Developer
Experience with some reporting tools. Example of such technology could include, but not limited to products such as Argos, Crystal Reports, Tableau, SAP suite of products, Microsoft BI, etc...
Experience programming or system integration in a higher education environment
Experience with Ellucian Banner and related products
Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
Fundamental understanding of Window Sever administration
Familiarity with privacy practices and laws (FERPA)
Knowledge of relational database concepts
Knowledge of SQL programming language
PL/SQL programming for ORACLE database
