Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Job Description
Labette Community College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin August 2023. This position will serve at the main campus located in Parsons, KS.
The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of the discipline required to share in the teaching of secondary and post-secondary students. The responsibilities encompass teaching developmental and college-level math courses, serving on LCC committees, maintaining office hours, and other activities required or agreed upon between faculty members and administration as specified in the LCC Master Agreement and LCC Policy and Procedures Manual.
Required Qualifications: Applicants are required to have at Master’s Degree in Mathematics, or at Master’s Degree in another field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Instructors must demonstrate computer literacy in appropriate computer software and be able to demonstrate fluency in written and oral communications.
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of community college teaching experience, knowledge of pedagogy which includes curriculum design, research-based teaching strategies, and assessment of student learning such as course outcome’s assessment. Experience with online teaching and academic advising.

Supplemental insurances are also offered. Salary will follow LCC Master Agreement, with base pay starting at $43,000 and step/column increases based on education and experience.
