GENERAL FUNCTION AND JOB DUTIES

 

General Function

Builds, maintains, and delivers Mandatory New Student Orientation presentations to students online and in person

 


Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provides excellent customer service experience to new students completing the onboarding process.

2. Connects students to campus information, services, and resources to provide them with the tools to be successful.

3. Communicates with students to ensure registration and completion of New Student Orientation as a mandatory component of onboarding and lift holds for a seamless student experience.

4. Provides engaging and informative New Student Orientation programming to new students on a weekly basis.

5. Ensures that New Student Orientation is up-to-date and factual per campus policies and departmental practices.

6. Works with campus constituents to create, update, and execute New Student Orientation per departmental needs and in different formats, such as online, CU, CCE, CCP, and CCR.

7. Travels and serves all Central Piedmont campus locations as the New Student Orientation Specialist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accepted institution

 


Preferred Qualifications

2-years of experience in the community college setting

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary for this position is $41,600. Pay grade for this position is J. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Professional. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
