JOB OVERVIEW

The Community and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing and launching national grassroots communities and councils of key stakeholders who are like-minded and committed to helping us achieve our mission. This will include overseeing the overall strategy and the recruiting, training, and engaging of members.


Currently, we are looking to hire three Community and Partnership Managers. Our primary focus is building three different communities and councils: (1) grassroots volunteers, (2) industry/workforce leaders, and (3) like-minded organizations. Each new manager will oversee one of these groups.

The Community and Partnerships Manager will report to the Deputy Director of Community and Partnerships as a part of the Community and Partnerships (CAP) Department, which is responsible for overseeing the network of individual and organizational supporters. This position may be a Senior Manager depending on a candidate’s qualifications.


If you have experience building communities from scratch, experience growing awareness and support for a cause or movement, and you enjoy working in start-up environments focused on improving the future of the next generation, you would be an ideal candidate!


We expect this individual to adhere to the Alliance’s hybrid work schedule, working both remotely and from our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We will consider full-time remote employees who are not local to our office with the expectation that they will travel into the office occasionally.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize communities and councils of volunteers and other key stakeholders, which includes creating and overseeing all strategic initiatives, campaigns, and goals for the community.
  • Analyze current initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate all potential members of a community or council.
  • Recruit and onboard all new members.
  • Manage all communications with potential and current members.
  • Prepare for and host all community meetings and events.
  • Manage metrics and establish systems associated with the community.
  • Utilize our internal CRM to store and track members and relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding leads on potential members or relationships.
  • Possibly manage and support more than one community.
  • These duties may change or expand over time consistent with our organization’s initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience and Skills
    • 5+ years of experience in community building, community engagement, relationship management, or similar positions
    • 3+ years of experience in program and/or project management
    • Experience working within corporate social responsibility
    • Experience working for causes, movements, or campaigns
    • Experience using a Client/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
    • Experience or interest in education/non-profit is preferred, but not required
    • Experience or interest in Decision Science is appreciated, but not required
    • Experience with Airtable is preferred, but not required
