Full Job Description
The ICNJ is a non-profit, state trade association representing property & casualty insurers doing business in New Jersey before the state legislature and various regulatory departments. Our mission is to create a positive understanding of the property & casualty insurance industry and to promote a pro-business/pro-policyholder environment in New Jersey. www.icnj.org
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones
- Perform daily administration duties
- Opening and sorting mail
- Taking meeting minutes
- Writing letters
- Keep website database current
- Update and maintain ICNJ server database
- Scheduling meetings
- Assist with ICNJ event registration and overall coordination
Assist all staff with legislative and regulatory research and generate a daily newsletter of NJ/insurance-related news media for members. Manage ICNJ communications on social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter. Represent the ICNJ at legislative committee hearings and political events. Monitor publications for industry related information and flag for the President’s review.
Requirements A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Some post-secondary education in political science and/or communication would be beneficial.
This is an entry level position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
