Tumor Immunology and Liquid Biopsies

Job Description

The NCI Translational Nanobiology Section leverages several technologies developed in the Section and works collaboratively with a global multidisciplinary network of collaborators to systematically evaluate EV subset surface proteins and EV cargo RNA sequences. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to lead preclinical studies investigating extracellular vesicles as determinants of metastatic tumor spread and modulation of anti-tumor immune responses.

Qualifications:

Successful fellows will enthusiastically learn and develop new areas of expertise and will be highly collaborative, creative, conscientious, and self-motivated. Substantial prior experience with preclinical tumor models and advanced data analysis is encouraged. The position requires an M.D., D.V.M, Ph.D., or combination thereof in immunology, molecular/cell biology, liquid biopsies, bioengineering, experimental pathology, or a related field. Prior training and publications in tumor biology, immunology, systems biology, and/or experimental pathology will be beneficial to candidates. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about conducting research at the interface of a wide range of disciplines to build new foundations for extracellular vesicle research.

To Apply:

Please send a cover letter describing your research experience and interests, CV (with bibliography and start/end dates for all positions), and contact information for three references to: Dr. Jennifer Jones, email: jennifer.jones2@nih.gov .
