Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences within the School of Health Professions. Under the direction of Jean-Francois Daneault, the Temporary Research Assistant will work 10hrs per week on a NIH-funded study aimed at examining the use of mobile devices to help in the differential diagnosis and long-term monitoring of people with neurological conditions. The primary role of the research assistant will be to perform data analysis but the research assistant will also aid in the recruitment of participants.
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
  • Recruitment at the Rutgers Site.
  • Analysis of time-series data.
  • Development of machine models.
  • Preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with study personnel.
  • Assists in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with study personnel.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Experience with programming software (e.g., MATLAB, python, R).
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Collegiality and ability to work in a collaborative effort.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in engineering, computer science, biomedical sciences, or related field.
  • Knowledge of or experience with the analysis of time-series and machine learning.
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Candidate will work primarily in Newark, NJ but some of the work can be done remotely.
  • Hands on training will be provided as needed.

Immunization Requirements
