Job Summary: | This is a one-year postdoctoral position situated in the new Pre-Resident Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program in the Department of Orthopedics. Responsibilities will primarily involve management of projects aimed at understanding the influence of obesity on the molecular and cellular behavior of the synovium in various synovial joints. Work will encompass management of human tissue collection protocols, nucleic acid extraction from this tissue for RNA sequencing and epigenetic study, and contribution, with mentoring, to data analysis. There will also be involvement in other projects in the Foot and Ankle Division and the Orthopedic Research Center, which may include patient-reported outcomes analyses, biomechanical studies and studies of osteoarthritis.
