Postdoctoral Scholar – Department of Neurology - 23000000HA 



Description

 

The Postdoctoral Scholar will participate in research projects   currently funded by Dr. Lawrence Reiter related to study of the molecular and cellular defects of Prader-Willi Syndrome using dental pulp stem cell derived neurons. The individual will participate in research that is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind neurodevelopmental disease phenotypes, primarily of disorders involving the 15th chromosome.

Qualifications

PhD

3+ years of cell culture experience;

3+ years of wet lab experience including western blotting, RNA/DNA extraction, immunocytochemistry; and

3+ years of scientific manuscript and grant writing experience

A candidate with research interests in Prader-Willi syndrome and advanced knowledge of molecular biology and genetics is preferred.
