Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cameron School of Business, invites applications for the tenure-track anticipated position(s) in Business Analytics at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to begin January 2019 or August 2019.

Minimum Requirements

A Ph.D. in Business Analytics or Operations Management or a related area is required or must be obtained within a first academic year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who have already obtained their Ph.D. are preferred, but ABD’s will be considered. Candidates should be proficient in both online and face-to-face teaching, for both graduate and undergraduate audiences. The ideal candidate will be able to teach all areas of business analytics including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling, and visualization. A focused research agenda with an established record of publication or strong potential for publication is expected.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain department supports the Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. At the graduate level, the department supports the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems and upcoming M.S. Business Analytics.
