The Guest Housing Program and University Housing at NC State strives to provide a low cost,
high quality experience for internal and external guests needing temporary guest housing for a
period of 5 nights up to 4 months.

Guest Services works closely with guests and sponsors to meet guest needs while maintaining
a high level of customer service.

The primary purpose for the Guest Services Porter is to serve as the primary contact for
ensuring and coordinating space readiness between guests, and responding to guest housing
inquiries.

This position also assists in the daily office management of the ES King Village Office.
Responsibilities may also include responding to phone calls, addressing walk-in traffic.

Primary job responsibilities include but not limited to:

? Laundry cleaning and drying at ES King Village and all Guest Apartments on other areas
of campus.
? Inspecting rooms and making sure they are ready for guests.
? Washing, drying, and restocking guest housing linen.
? Making beds, and restocking linen in some select guest apartments.
? Inspecting air conditioning, and ensuring unit facilities and appliances are in working
order between guest reservations.
? Organizing and upkeep of linen storage rooms across campus.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate with our
facilities and housekeeping staff for any requests.
? Communicate with Guest Services Manager- Ability to submit work orders when things
need attention.
? Responding to the guest housing email account (as needed).
? Changing lock box codes between guests.
? Monitoring guest housing inventory.
? Assist with key auditing for guest housing.

Position for April – September with the possibility to extend.
