Description

The Clemson Chemistry Department seeks to fill a 2-year Clemon University Fellow Postdoctoral position to help develop implanted medical devices with integrated chemical sensors (iMEDICS) in a collaborative group at Clemson with Dr. Anker as PI as primary advisor. The work will involve multidisciplinary research to detect and study implanted medical device infection. The work will involve collaboration with a diverse team including chemistry, physics, biophotonics, bioengineering and medicine.

This is a 2-year position (March 1, 2023-Feb 29, 2024) with job duties consisting of helping run experiments, collaborating with several groups, mentoring students, helping write grant proposals and papers.
The appointment is initially for one academic year but may be renewable for an additional year contingent upon funding and performance.

Qualifications

PhD degree and experience with interdisciplinary research.
